AC will be a Brum icon like the Rotunda and Selfridges are today. a 187m toothpast tube in my bathroom would be immense.

Well, lets get posting Just keep it on subject though. We dont want an argument starting about something irrelevant.

I'd be very happy to see a tower of very similar height to our Beetham on the opposite corner but while i thought the photoshop somebody did a while ago of an exact replica on the opposite corner looked fab i don't want a carbon copy tower.. rather something that is an improvement on HCT.. hopefully one with a better back.

It's got to be a curved or cylindrical building to reflect HCT, the Debenhams building and also the curvey lines of Smallbrook Queensway. A square boring slab, the type of which seem commonplace in Manchester, would look completely out of place on this site. Birmingham is more curvey ...... a more sexy place!

Now, what if we had one mega structure reaching all the way around to the bull-ring, A nice 180m pinnacle lowering to a respectable 45m

It is a great view and it looks better at night, especially during the winter when everything's lit up around 5pm. Here's a shot with an half built HCT but just imagine the same evening shot with a 180M AC Tower and some of the other proposals all lit up.

I'll post it as a link coz it looks like I forgot to resize this

I'm confident that AC's height will be around 180-190 Metres and if Goth's hinting at something bigger in the pipeline too, wow!

Holy Maccarone!! I'd try to get some more current night shots but they only really work in the winter when it gets dark at 5pm.
