Hălchiu, Braşov

Hălchiu (germană Heldsdorf, maghiară Höltöveny) este o localitate în judeţul Braşov. Face parte din regiunea istorică Ţara Bârsei.
Se află la 16 km de Braşov, 11 km de Codlea şi 8 km de Feldioara, iar distanţa dintre satul Hălchiu şi Satu Nou este de 2 km.
Populaţie (2002): 6,213 (înainte de separarea comunei Crizbav) sau 4,072 locuitori.

Turiştii stau la cozi imense pentru a vizita castelul Bran

Zilele toride ale acestei veri sunt extraordinar de profitabile pentru administratorii Castelului Bran. Turiştii care se află în Bran şi în localităţile din jur stau la cozi interminabile pentru a vizita Castelul Bran. Directorul Complexului Muzeal Bran, Dorin Narcis, spune că, în această perioadă, aproximativ 3.000 de turişti vizitează castelul zilnic, dintre aceştia 40% fiind străini. „Iulie şi august sunt cele mai aglomerate în privinţa numărului de turişti, peste 120.000 de persoane vizitând castelul în cele două luni”, a spus directorul muzeului. Acesta a precizat că, după jumătatea lunii septembrie, numărul turiştilor care vizitează castelul scade considerabil. În comparaţie, anul trecut, Complexul Muzeal Bran a fost vizitat de 460.000 de turişti români şi străini. Castelul Bran a fost retrocedat urmaşilor principesei Ileana în mai 2006.
