DUBAI: PARK SQUARE TOWER, 150F, 700m + (HOTEL)

after a few rumours and hints dubai has finally approved the world's second tallest tower called park square tower

it will have 150 floors, the height still is a secret but will be around 700m

the tower is only for hotel-use, but as it is so big, it will house about 6 to 7 hotels

construction is expected to start this year, the site for the new park square project, which consists of 30 commercial towers and 10 residential towers as well as 2 hotel towers, is ready to start with construction

completion date is scheduled to be 2010
tower is worth around $1.5bn
size is 2.1m sqm

sorry, no render has been published, but the architect is ARTEC

this tower makes economic sense especially given the shortfall in hotel rooms in dubai.i reckon they require atleast another two of these to make up the shortfall.

Funny how smussuw already label you a basher for saying that the comment is pathetic. That's actually pretty pathetic too.

@ smussuw

Ehhh... maybe it's just me, but isn't a thread all about replying?

You obviously don't think highly of yourself, if you're under the impression that replying to your own comments is pathetic. But that's ok.

But let's get back to the topic. Hope to see some renders soon...

We are all human in the end.

All Economies that grow at that speed fall just as quickly

Japan and Germany in the 1980s

Any bells ringing there guys?

@ Nick

Even the USA had a major crisis in the 80's. And the funny thing is that after that period not that many skyscrapers have been build in the USA compared to the 2 decades before the crisis.

Just look at Dallas, Detroit, San Fransisco and Houston.

this tower is yet the most powerful testimony of how confident dubai is in it's construction boom.experts say the cycle in dubai will last another 8 - 10 yrs.so guys expect to see more of these ultra-tall towers in the near future.

i'm sure once other projects like DIFC,DUBAI MEDIA CITY,SILICON OASIS....etc begin to bear fruit these towers and many like this will be springing up at an even faster pace.businessmen, tourists, casual visitors....... will all start to converge on this city and have a big impact on the demand equation.so the question of these towers remaining empty hollow shells doesn't arise here.
