Excuse me? My scale? How about global scale?
If you don't understand it by now, there's clearly no need for me to go on.

Why not make 50 stars, just for Dubai, while we're at it!

well if we say BAA is 5 star, then every other hotel is 4 star.
they got it wrong somehow, there are a lot of 5 stars around, this must be a mistake

Well, at least you now accept that it's a 5 star. I think that's the most progress we've made today. I can't expect anymore from you, so just keep believing that.

i still consider it a 7*.

if the international star rating is willing to update its criteria for star rating, ill be happy to consider the BAA a 5* so long as other hotels are downgraded to 4*.

comparin BAA with other 5* hotels is like comparing a Koenigsegg with a chevy camaro.

Again, there's variety among the 5 star hotels in quality and services, but they are still all 5 star hotels.

You may get a 98% on an exam and your friend gets a 90%. Although you scored higher by quite a bit you still both get A's. Maybe unfair but you can't make up your own letter and award it to yourself. "Look, I got the letter Z on my test!"

true, but then again its only an 8% difference.

what if the "A" grade was between 60% and 100%? wouldnt u say that the grading scale needed to be changed?

that is the case with the BAA and some 5 stars. there are smoe pretty horrible 5* out there

I thought that there's a world standard as to what 5 star is. Maybe in your area, they don't follow these rules and call every hotel a 5 star one. But that's the problem. If you're going to make a 7 star hotel, most will laugh at it but the result will be that now every hotel will start calling itself a six, eight.. 10 ... 28-star hotel.

Of course they do, thats what happens when you build in the seventies. Anyways as Jaye said, they are 4 star hotels, not 5. We are currently underway in building 4 or 5 5 star hotels. Check out the T.O. thread for Trump, Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons 2, Shangri-La. The ones that have released renderings look spectacular.

Then don't give opinion on something you have no idea about.

True, there are some extreme expensive and luxerious hotels in Europe who don't claim seven stars. But perhaps people shouldn't take those stars too serious, just think of the so-called 5-star hotels in Turkey.

But i don't care if a hotel is 4, 5 or 7 stars. I'm not here to talk about hotels and stars, i am here for the skyscrapers. Let's hope this hotel gets an exciting design!
