They are the same thing except Al Burj is taller.

I can't wait to see the renders, I hope they come up with another beautiful design.

So we have 3 megascrapers proposed or u/c in Dubai now: Burj Dubai, Al Burj and Park Square Tower, right?

A map with these 3 locations would be nice.

I think there is also supposed to be another super-tall to be the centre-piece of the Business Bay complex.

"All Economies that grow at that speed fall just as quickly"

But this is not your typical economy where everyone has the same freedoms and rights

"All Economies that grow at that speed fall just as quickly"

then level off and begin to rise again... the comment about japan and germany is ridiculous as they are currently two of the strongest economies in the world. You know that trillion dollar debt america has guess who its too!!!

Brits love Dubai
United Arab Emirates: Monday, August 08 - 2005 at 07:45

A survey by leading long-haul tour operator Kuoni says that Dubai was the most popular tourist destination for British nationals for the second successive year. There were almost 5.5m visitors to Dubai in 2004, out of which 605,240 were from the UK, a 32% increase from 2003.

You might need these hotels after all

It's weird how many skyscrapers Dubai is building.

Anyone got some statistics?

Cities with most towers U/c - say over 100 or 150 metres?

"FALLING BACKWARDS!" .... "THUD!!!!"......."Gets up and sits back in chair"

This is definitely great news! I can't wait to go to Dubai in 2010 and look up at all these great buildings. LOL i'll probably get dizzy looking at the crazy height and fall backwards on the sidewalk!

Is dubai over doing it?

who cares, this is a skyscraper forum,, and im happy as long as theyre tall and look good
Exactly!!!!!! (Although I hope they will all work financially in the long term). I think most fans of skyscrapers will truly love Dubai for constructing all these amazing buildings!...Can't wait for a render. I LOVE DUBAI! With the two supertalls going up in chicago and all over Asia, skyscrapers are going up at a wicked rate! Living in Toronto, I'm going to see all the buildings going up in their boom as well, it sure is a great time to be a skyscraper fan!

This news definitely warrants some dancing!

good for Dubai. Hopefully all the buildings that they are building won't be put to waste. Anyway, Dubai's a good city.

A message for every skyscraper fan:
If we don`t have Dubai we would maybe never seen a tower over 700m.
So be thankful for Dubai as a skyscraper fan.

A other great news, is that you can see the construction of this tower over a webcam. It`s a city webcam but the construction site of this tower is much closer to the webcam than the Burj Dubai site.
