Flo, from Interchange 1 to Trade Center roundabout the distance is 2.5 km (measured myself), while this tower is 500m from the r/b and Burj Dubai is a couple of hundred meters away from the IC1, so we can say that they are 3 - 3.5 km distant.

A picture is better then a thousand words ...

The vaibility of this tower is better than BD.I want it to be built on park square but if the height and train stop it going ahead here i will be disapointed because it would be amazing to have it so close to BD. So i hope it stays there.

Stil no render

Jo48: A lot of these tall towers (such as this one) will be hotels. In Dubai the last thing you see are empty hotels. I agree with you in a way though. They've gone overboard with res projects but are doing fine with hotels and office buildings.

Does anyone of you know something about the luxurygrade of this tower. If it's becoming a 700 meter tall hotel, you should almost think it has to be a 7-star hotel at least. I don't know if you can deserve more than 7 stars?

there are still no renders I thought, but I think it won't take too much time before they will be presented at ssc by some of the forumguys/girls.

Well, I'd still call this only a proposal since I have my doubts of this getting built. I think this tower is to contain several hotels, some 4* and some 5*. I remember reading that somewhere

yes
there will be several hotels in this building
there is nothing speaking against a rejection of this project
this strange height restriction seems not to go through, if it was real, we don't know

dubai is in dire need of hotel rooms

the developer has some really good projects which are different to what we have seen

the rose rotana hotel in dubai, soon to be the world's tallest hotel is one of their projects

Becuase they have not released any.

This is one of four serious towers all over the world to be over 600m.

Al Burj (Dubai)
Burj Dubai (Dubai)
Park Square Tower (Dubai)
Furniture Tower (Dubai)
