Dubai is a blott on the landscape to be honest. Very interesting for us skyscraper buffs, but none-the-less a blott on the landscape. (Fortunately it's in the middle of the desert...)

There's more cranes on the Burj Dubai than the whole of the Birmingham skyline

Heh. They're not playing by the normal rules of economics and development processes.

They do have the International Cricket Council, which recently moved from London.

The problem with that picture is that the better towers are shrouded by the ugly apartment blocks in the foreground.

Half of them look shit because a lot haven't been released. All the box shaped towers are placeholders for unreleased projects or I haven't modelled them yet.
