Best new condo development in GTA
Hi.
Which condo development do you think is the best in GTA? Let's talk about individual building, instead of the entire project, because each building can be different even though they belong to the same development. In terms of architecture, floorplan design, interior design, location, etc, which one you like and which you don't? |

If it was up to me, I would choose Murano no doubt, both towers.
Fine modern architecture (not one of those Cityplace slabs), I've heard the floor plans are quite well, it is very succesful (North tower sold-out), and the location is very good on Bay Street and close to PT and everything downtown. My second answer would be the Met condos just east of College and Yonge. The worst condos in the GTA hands down are Empire @ NY Towers, High Park condos (by Daniels), Eden Park Living in Mississauga, and Tuscany Gates in Mississauga. |

My favourite is 18 Yorkville followed by Solstice (in Mississauga). I cannot praise 18 Yorkville enough, it is just an awesome building. Solstice will be great too if the rendering for it is accurate.
As for the crappy ones, there are just too many to choose from, especially in North York and Mississauga. One that stands as being particularly crappy is Renaisance in Brampton because it has a really ugly design and a bad siteplan, which is too bad considering it is located right in downtown. |

...Don't forget, anything by Pemberton is pretty much crap. With the exception of The Uptown, which may be a beauty or an eyesore depending on its building materials.

Another exterior I like is the sixtyloft's, a lower rise boutique style condo, which also has an all glass exterior, but with this one you can pick the style/color of the window/frame you like. So each unit's outside would look a bit different. Very interesting. But I don't know how energy efficient these all glass structure will be as they are like green houses. Get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I am sure the energy costs would be huge. Another interesting project is TipTopLoft, though I don't really like the look of it. It looks like Taj Mahal without the onion head. |

As Far as looks go ...i'd say Murano is the most eye pleasing project....but as far as planning goes I'd have to say either the Capital or ROCP

![]() And here's the third phase, One Park Tower. I'm not a fan of either of these towers and their architectural styles, postmodern, faux-history or whatever you call it.

Yeah I agree...it isn't anything new that we haven't seen in a building b4...but 38s, great amenities, and 9' ceilings make One Park Tower very spacious...and starting at 149,000...it's a great deal....One Park Tower and Capital will look fantastic when completed...BTW the Capital already looks great now...It's not the best..but I think the capital might look better than the original rendering when completed

The Capital looks quite traditional to me. The typical precast exterior.
