Platinum Park
Platinum Park captures nature's natural resources of stone, water, wood and sky and transforms it into a sanctuary of unique contemporary architectural design. Set on a 4-acre piece of land, TTDI and their architects utilized this large expanse of land to create a natural haven of soothing sounds of flowing water and lush tropical greenery in the heart of the city making it truly, a lifestyle and a park within itself. Platinum Park Residences is a welcoming haven of cascading water features and lush landscaped gardens. A refreshing oasis in the heart of the city. Designed to ensure you are provided with all the comforts of home and more, everything is found right on your doorstep. You will never want to leave home. Official site

![]() For the truly discerning, these condominiums are about to become the most sought-after address in Kuala Lumpur. In a location where space is such a precious commodity, these large residential suites are strategically built on prime freehold land in the prestigious Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC) precinct and only a stone’s throw away from the exclusive Royal Selangor Golf Club. It is the combination of a superb location and exceptional design that allows Platinum Park to present itself as a high-yield investment opportunity with excellent rental returns and potential for capital appreciation. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity not to be missed.

I read an article in the Property Times. Apparently the developer will officially launch end of this year and is not willing to disclose more details. So we just have to sit tight. However it appears to be around 25 storeys. Nothing spectacular, but it's okay.

Grand success for HOC 2005
- Property Times 21 May 2005 issue - The Home Ownership Campaign 2005 (HOC) organised by S.K. Brothers Realty Sdn Bhd which was held in Kuala Lumpur from May 13 to 15 has been described as “a grand success”, both in terms of visitor turnout as well as in forging greater business links between Malaysia and the Persian Gulf countries. HOC coordinating chairman Norman Nathan said although fewer developers took part in the exhibition this time, the expected crowd turnout was on target at 32,000 visitors over the three days. “Total sales enjoyed by participants during HOC exceeded RM250 million, but the news was even better for selected developers who met with our associate from Bahrain, Hassan Ebrahim Hassan Kamal, and members of his Gulf Consortium,” he said. Nathan said the Arab investors, that Hassan represented, shortlisted for purchase several properties in Malaysia worth a total of RM853 million. These are: • A tower block at Setapak Heights Development Sdn Bhd’s Villa Wangsa Mas in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, worth RM95 milion; • A tower block in Subang Jaya, Selangor, being developed by the TitiJaya Group, which will suit the Arab lifestyle, worth RM122 million; • A number of units at The Heritage serviced apartments in the Mines Golf Resort, Selangor, valued at RM185 million; • A RM300 million highrise block at Sutera Harbour Resort in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah; and • RM151 million worth of residential units at Platinum Park in Persiaran Stonor, KL, a RM800 million high-end project being undertaken by TTDI Development Sdn Bhd, which was recently acquired by the Naza Group. Nathan said certain details are being ironed out and he expects the purchase of the properties to be finalised in the coming weeks. Another promising outcome of Hassan’s visit was “serious discussions” for the development of an “Arab corridor” at a location close to the International Islamic University (IIU) campus in Gombak, Selangor, to accommodate Arab students at the university and their visiting family members. If this RM200 million project goes through, it will mean more students from the Persian Gulf States will apply to study at IIU and the start of an Arab lifestyle residential concept in the area. Other discussions between the Arab investors and Malaysian businessmen included exploratory talks for the joint venture production of aluminium brackets for the construction industry in Bahrain. According to Hassan, who is the Bahraini director of the Bahrain Malaysia International Trade and Investment Bureau (BM Bureau), these brackets can be used to speed up construction of highrise buildings. Another venture being considered is the manufacturing of wooden flooring material for houses in Bahrain. Discussions on this, Hassan said, will continue on his next trip to Kuala Lumpur in two months’ time. Wooden flooring is seen as a better alternative to carpeting concrete floors, as is common in Bahrain, because the material being considered is heat-resistant. His on-going task, Hassan said, is promoting cross-cultural dialogue between the business communities of Bahrain and Malaysia through the BM Bureau. Likewise, he added, Nathan has been tasked with the job of “Goodwill Ambassador” for the business community of Bahrain in Malaysia, and for the Malaysian community in Bahrain. Bahrain has no embassy in Malaysia at present. Also at the HOC, Corporate and Social Responsibility Awards were presented to three Malaysian developers. They are Naim Cendra Holdings Bhd of Kuching, Sarawak, Sunway City Bhd of Petaling Jaya, Selangor and TH Properties Bhd of Kuala Lumpur.

![]() Naza not driving TTDI - Property Times 02 July 2005 issue - By Chris Prasad TTDI Development Sdn Bhd is standing on its “own two feet” despite being taken over by automotive giant Naza Group. “There will be no interfacing between the two companies,” TTDI’s chief executive officer Datuk Johan Ariffin said, adding that “TTDI will continue to function as an independent development company involved in its own projects”. This is despite the fact that Naza, which bought the company in June last year for RM262.8 million from national asset management company Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Bhd, holds the majority stake in TTDI. “TTDI should be viewed as a subsidiary going about its core business of property development, while Naza will continue with its core business of selling motor vehicles,” he said. However, Johan indicated that as the holding company, Naza will retain certain controls and would also play an advisory role. TTDI, he said, will have no involvement in the RM60 million four-star Naza Hotel development in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. Brushing off an earlier press report on this as “wrong”, Johan said the development would fall under Naza’s hotel division. The group currently operates hotels in Penang, Malacca and Johor Baru. TTDI’s major development at the moment is the RM800 million Platinum Park Residences, a high-end mixed development in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, which will keep the company busy for the next five to eight years. To be built on a 3.95-acre site just off Persiaran Stonor and near the Petronas Twin Towers, the freehold project will comprise super-condominiums, serviced residences and business suites that will be housed in four highrise structures. Expected to be launched later this year, Platinum Park has already tasted early success at the Home Ownership Campaign 2005 held in May, where a team of Arab investors led by Bahraini Hassan Ebrahim Hassan Kamal inked a deal to purchase over RM150 million worth of residential units in the project. “Platinum Park is really something special and we’re expecting a huge response. However, we are not going to reveal too much until we launch it,” Johan said.
