I am in the process of taking pics for this thread....

Rem Koolhaas did an interview in last October's Icon magazine which touches on the West 12 masterplan.

Thanks for that Ciudad Bristol, very interesting.

Now I'm getting more interested in this W12 thing. Does anyone know more? Nukey could you tell us a bit more, perhaps using some clever code like the W13 project?

Im sorry, I cant tell you anything- its pretty strongly worded in my contract that I cant. All I can give you is my opnion. It will be something realy quite new and surprising, mixing all scales from small and intimate to simply gargantuan in a very fun way. Its not Alsop and his silly games, thats for sure. Sorry that I didnt reply earlier but I have had 3 all nighters in a row so no time to go online. Im currently working on another project OMA is doing in the city for a big Client. Cant say more though. heehee ;0)

The BBC Television Centre Tower in the background is probably my least favorite in the world. In the beautiful world of moths, it would be a clothes (wardrobe) moth!

yes, thats it. Not working on it anymore. Rem Freaked today and we got a long list of bitchcrap back from planning, which basicaly killed every elemnt of the design from the bottom to the top- literally. Im doing a university in France now. Frankly Im happy to be off Bank. Building in that part of London's a nightmare.

Can you tell what areas the W12 masterplan will cover?

From the news coming out of the Wembley Stadium project I can only say that Multiplex the company building this project are getting a bit smelly in the trouser department. Are Multiplex about to go under? What will be the future for this development if they do?

I think this is too near to completion for it to be left..even if they go under, I imagine it would be an easy profit for another co. to take it over.

My concern if Multiplex go tits up....the Elephant and Castle tower could be shelved.

I seriously doubt they'll go under, they're no small firm you know, just look at their results to see the shear number and scale of the projects that are in the midst of, or soon to commence.
