Yes it is built in China but it is a french car.
A Mercedes built in USA is a german car.
A japanese car built in France is Japanese car for everyone.

Interesting Advertisments for Public Transport

I saw a thread about this a while ago on another website that I frequent and thought it might be an interesting thread here, too. More or less a re-posting.

What interesting or amusing commercials for public transport have you seen?

This one from Milwaukee is particularily ironic, in my opinion, because public transport here is neither particularily fast or convenient to use. Then again, who am I to doubt Sulu from Star Trek?

This one from Paris is amusing, too. I rather like the song.

This one from Montreal is quite unique. It has its own dance.

Anyone know how to embed videos from Youtube? I can't seem to figure it out.

(For the new Die Hard movie, if you don't get it)

Also, to embed YouTube videos you use the Youtube tag with the end of the URL. Example:

[ youtube ] DcC31r1BxBY [ /youtube ]

minus the spaces.

Nice idea for a thread!

It's not been posted for the first time in SSC but here is the absolutely state-of-the-art ad for Madrid's metro:

Yeah I have seen that before- absolutely brilliantly done, not to mention how well the content of the ad comes across..Thanks for posting that..Madrid obviously is really selling their expanded Metro system to the world..

That was awesome! But how come the title was in English and not Spanish?

well the first pic that you showed is on the yamonte line and its advertisment for the permerie of the showing of the 10th pokemon (Pocket Monsters) movie that came to cinemas in july 2007 and in the cover you see Satoshi (Ash Ketchum) with pikachu the mascot of the pokemon franchise

note that probably Nintendo paid JR East to put there advertaisments of the recent pokemon movie to well advertaise

anyways Pokemon is developed and published by Nintendo and other companies related to nintendo

but anyways cool adveritasiment

The biggest part of the trams in Riga are in commercial livery

Buses/Trolleybuses are not so much with commercials at all, just some small advertisments on the back of the buses

Trains - 100% ad free

cool

It's pretty rare to find these wrapping ads on full sized metros. More easy to see them on streetcars and buses.

You nailed it songoten. Bonus points for the station
I'm guessing you're a fan of pokemon and anime in general?
