I doubt LBT will be cancelled, but there is a possibility about others, sadly...

If the worst case scenario happens and all the towers would be cancelled, are they still going to build new(different) scrapers for London? Will London get a new skyline no matter what happens?

Btw. Isnīt Broadgate starting construction soon?

Yeah, Broadgate is starting like next month or December.

And dont worry. It is highly unlikely that all the towers will be cancelled.
Even if they are there will be new proposals. There are new Poroposals all the time now.

Oh... 150% definate. The long hold up is that PwC, the tenants, are on a long lease in Southwark Towers. But yeh, overall, demolishion of the ugly building is due to proceed in mid 2006, nice to know

Difa looks amazing, lets hope it gets the go ahead. LBT is taking ages, have the tenants left the old building yet? Theres no doubt that Canary Wharf is good for the City, a bit of healthy competition should hurry some of these projects along a bit...

Southwark Towers have tenants, PwC, who are on a long lease... thats the only factor thats prolonging the demolishion of the Tower. But demolishion shall proceed in mid-2006, which is less than a year away. LBT will be complete by 2009-early 2010.

Competition between the two financial district's is flaming. However, the City happens to obtain a greater share of Quarterly tenants. Canary Wharf is London's first and only office complex that seems to blossom every year.

But who will win?

Canary Wharf

City

Tied at the moment. I would have said CW if Colombus was still getting built.

CW is starting to steal more tenants from the city. Is Columbus cancelled or is it just on hold?

Yeah, some tenants are moving to CW. Nonetheless it doesnt affect the City because they'll get more tenants every quarter.

I'm not sure if you know about these forums, they're a bit hidden away
