Couple of new renderings I did this evening. This is viewed from Parliament Hill in north London and includes all proposed and u/c towers for the City.

In total, there will be 7 buildings over 150m.

I'll be adding the Docklands/Canary Wharf towers later.

Please also note - London Bridge Tower (306m) isn't visible from here, but would appear just off the right edge of the view.

fantastic simulation!

but I find it a bit misleading to use this image to create it. people who don't know london will think the city and canary wharf are pretty close together. whereas in reality it looks more like this:

For anyone who doesn't already know... the distance between these two London clusters is ~5km. As an international comparison, if we look at somewhere like Manhattan, this is roughly equivalent to the distance between the Empire State Building (Midtown) and Wall Street (Downtown).

I think that distance rendering would look better with the new towers a bit more dull in colour. Also, what is that huge tower at CW??

Can I start a new London 2012 thread when this one hits 500 posts?

...If you do; in the first post, it would be nice to include some of the best renderings in this thread and possibly details of, or a link to, the London project list in the UK forum. Would give people a great roundup of the situation...

i have seen quite a few London threads while browsing through SS City forums, there seems to be a new one each week. This one is probably the best I've found though!

I mean, basically everything you could want to know/see about new projects in London is on this thread, so what wud be the point of starting another one Newcastle Kid? That being said, I will probably visit the thread if you do make one, cus its always good to see how other people present their views. So, yeah, if u wanna make a new thread, go for it, though as BirminghamCulture has already said, make sure you do it right, and collect all the best pics that surfaced randomly in this thread into a cohesive collection.
