Many of the proposed scrapers for London are anything but glass boxes and I have no idea what you're on about with twisty tips. Most of the designs are very different from one another with canary wharf as the exception. I don't see how they're going to look dated.

Quite out of date that render. The Riverside South towers shown in that one are the old design.

BLIND FOOL!

Most will become icons, and they look anything but similar. They are all world-class, unique designs and will look great together!

I dont know why people bother if they are going to make blind, unconstructive comments such as those, very few are glass oxes (if any) and only one has a tristy tip, what a complee cakhead!

Not going to happen im afraid....CW has a height limit of approx 240m due to London city airport's flightpath.....

^ ^

I kind of agree, but CW will look much better when it gets denser.

And plus, columbus tower isnt a box, and that is gonna become the tallest tower in CW (If it gets built)

Any more news on that by any chance?

Guys, I know this is a "skyscraper" forum but relax and play it cool. London doesn't need to "sell" anything. Imagine living in a desert and screaming "look how tall I am"....

You live in one of the 2 most extraordinary cities on earth and (F-U prince chuck), most of the modern architecture, including the towers, are dotting the city with some grace. Old London is meeting new London quite nicely and I predict it will be one of (or number one) most exciting metropoli' (invented that one) on the planet.

Will it be as tall as the dusty sand castles in the Middleeast. No.

Will it be as tall/dense as Manhattan or HK? No.

Will it be as quarantined as la defense? No.

Will it be the most extraordinary, beautifully-executed orgy of old and new that the world has ever seen? YEEESSSS.

(note to file: this was a positive post... please ban anyone who can't be bothered to read it).
