ayala center certainly put a lot of details on architecture too. it gives an impression of a lifestyle shopping mall resort.

In a warm climate, I'd much rather shop in an indoor climate. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Mall of America yet.

• Mall of Asia •

It's under construction and it faces manila bay. they claim that it will be the biggest mall in asia (what's the point in making a nmae like that if it's not the biggest or whatever)

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=247618

I think malling is something asians particularly Filipinos are more active at compared to the europeans or in the west. Just look at how many malls there are in the philippines.

Im almost positive that West Edmonton is the biggest Mall in the world.

BC's biggest and I think the biggest mall in the Pacific Northwest is MetroTown, over 470 stores and is directly connected to Skytrain. Many condo's, office towers. hotels and even a new Asian Mall have been built next to the mall Located at the centre of Greater Vancouver it is destination shopping.

(The Mall is at the base of the two black office towers)

how crowded do the malls get?

In Ayala Center in Makati, at least 600,000 shoppers visit in a day.

I love Birmingham. I was taking a picture inside the Bullring and a security guard told me to stop!

I like CambridgeSide Galleria, but it was a little busy, with signs everywhere. They sure pack a lot in a small space.

Yes i heard about security staff doing that. I read that the Police have told them to because it is a security risk!

Curiously for a small country like Portugal, it has some of the biggest in Europe. The Alcochete shopping centre in the biggest in Europe in its kind.

The biggest mall in europe is in Gateshead near Newcastle and is called the metro centre. It recently regained it's title with the completion of it's new red mall.

Couldnt find any great pictures, i'll try and take some myself next time i'm there:
