I suggest closing this thread!

since the beggining people are getting the idea wrong!!!!!

And im sick of people who say things without knowing almost ANYTHING about it!

C'mon, Brasilia was built over a jungle? hahahah it was (it still is) a savannah, grassland!

Thanks Spec3 and Tasman!

You concern with the wrong problems!

The tropical rainforest in brazil is almost 100% destroied, the amazon forest is an equatorial forest. The tropical forest was along the coast line, where today are all brazilian major cities. And it started 5 centuries ago!

And even inside the amazon, the major problem is not the big cities, is the agriculture!

As Aces said, the cities are dense and they dont harm the forest!

As many people said here, stop this bullshit and start looking over your backyard!

Brazil is one of the countries that are more concern about the enviroment, most of our cars use ethanol, we are creating bio-diesel, we are creating national parks and hard laws to prevent more deforestation, creating new kinds of plants that can grow in places that they couldnt before!

Is not easy to have the largest forest in the world, the miss-called "world lung"!

Im sure that 99% of the people here dont do anything good for the enviroment!

Its amazing how some foreings are so hipocrats, why dont you look at your own back yard before criticizing Brazil? I realy cant accept north americans telling us about pollution and the destruction of the rain forest, look at your own country! You dont even want to sign the Kyoto agreement...tsc tsc..., Same for the europeans, can you show us your forests? There is almost nothing left...

Im really getting tired of reading that Brasilia was build in the middle of the jungle...there is no jungle over there for Gods sake!
