NFA-Iloilo ships 28,000 bags of rice for Catbalogan, Calbayog

ILOILO CITY, Feb. 14 (PNA) – The National Food Authority (NFA) will ship out Tuesday 28,000 bags of rice to Catbalogan and Calbayog to help them meet their rice deficiency.

NFA Iloilo Asst. Manager Miguel Aguirre said the MV Pam Rose will transport the rice to Catbalogan and Calbayog as part of the total order of 270,000 bags start of this year.

Aguirre said they are hoping that balance of 93,600 bags of rice can be transported in the coming days.

He said that Iloilo province has sufficient supply of rice thus it can distribute the surplus to other areas in the country that need rice.

The NFA Iloilo last Feb. 4 and 5 also sent 18,000 bags of rice to Maasin and Baybay in Leyte through the MV Salvacion 6. (PNA)

Just as common saying here in UAE by expats, What to do do!?, we have to be optimistic for the old guy setting on the province, its the people of the province who choose him, I wonder why during that time (elections), no options available probably. In any case next time, (elections), we need an action man in the province, young and pro active. How I wished if guv had Steve Job thinking, then nothing is impossible.
