Why does Emporis ignore this huge project?

CITIC plaza is maybe my favourite skyscraper in the world. Why do you find it boring? It is so elegant!
Emporis ignores almost every project in Guangzhou. But i have to admit that this is something bigger then usual. but anyways i ahve to say their coverage on GZ (and other chinese cities in general) is really poor..

Wow, nice. Gee, it's been a few weeks since a new supertall proposal was posted

My personal favourite from the design competition is The Bamboo Shoot, and that's not because they were the tallest (at 608.8m). But I think these towers were a good choice (and probably the easiest to build) - the design has potential to look quite exceptional. Is that CITIC straight down the middle off in the distance?

Matter of taste, I guess :-)
I used to like it too actually, but when I saw it I found that the reflective cladding was so bland (nothing much to reflect in fact), with the technical floors adding some ugliness instead of some variety, also the lobby is completely unimpressive and the office floors look like some cheap 70's building.
I'd take one Shung Hing Square against 100 CITIC anytime

Nice! I really like the design. Which one's going up first, and who is the main tenant? Do they know when yet?

I think they look nice, but they are a bit too similar to Turning Torso, may be that's why they didn't choose them.

I dont like the towers too much. Kind of plain and I dont like the color. Oh well. I'm sure some of it will change.

It's easy to critise, but if Chinese people do not apply to Emporis it is imposible for the rest of us there to add everything, it's imposible.

but these towers are much more advanced than the turning torso!!

The Malmo Turning Torso is more like a contorted SQUARE. This Guangzhou turning tower is more like a thin retangle contorted, so there is MUCH more of the building "in the air".

Keep in mind that the twisted towers was not chosen, and was declined. Sounds like many think they won the competition, and is going to be built.
