I wish that in Italy, especially in Milan where i live, there would be also a thought to rebuild places destroyed by bombing during World War II, like the Hall of the Caryatids at the Palazzo Reale in Milan.
But unfortunately a cultural art experts do not want the room to be rebuilt, so remain a ruin.

Thanks for the updates.
I wonder whether now thsat the buildings are under construction, the remains in the basement will be preserved and completed or they're going to remove them?

With Rampische Str complete on the north side, I'm really looking forward to Quartier III getting underway (the empty lot on the south side of Rampische) Most of the updates and plans are from 2008 and look stalled. I know they were looking for private investment last year, that seems to have gone quiet. Does anyone know what the status is?

Oh well, with Quartier VII underway there we be lots of excitement to follow for at least the next year(s)!

That last photo set should allay any concerns people had over this building. Masterpiece!

It's supposed to be finished before the end of the year.

More! Man, this one is gonna be one of the best once finished!

These dormers, on the other hand, look f****** ugly... I still fear the roof and everything on it will ruin this building. I hope they don't stay only as they are now.

I agree. Let's hope they aren't finished yet. The current look of the dormers on the top floor reminds me of those creepy mannequins with smoothed over facial features

Very exciting. Underneath that scaffolding is another beautiful building restored to its proper place.

My eyes hurt whenever I see that grey building.

It's not that bad, just too big for this street with its small parcelling. But I guess the effect won't be that bad after the empty area is filled with buildings too. This view will be impossible then.

Also it might be "transformed" later when they regret the modernistic looks of it
