Yeah, it's quite incredible how quickly you can change the face of an entire city. I wish West German cities would tear down and reconstruct buildings as well. In a mere decade we could have beautiful cities again.

Yep. Everytime I see all pics of Hannover I get all sad. What a beauty it was.

Superb pictures and information. I also like the idea of buildings reconstruction along with some modern additions.

This is quite a big project and ongoing quite fast.

It's like in Warsaw, many things will be reconstructed into 2-3 years ... Breslaw / Wroclaw is like Dresden, beautiful ...

Kann man in Stuttgart nicht auch den Markplatz abreissen und neu aufbauen?

I think it's incredible that they are rebuilding it, but isn't there something artificial about it.

I'm just sad that such a beautiful city was destroyed. Just shows the feebleness of mankind in a way.

Aufbau auf niederstem Niveau (Straßenniveau) wird stattfinden. Ganz aktuell

Das Rathaus mit seiner häßlichen Front steht gar unter Denkmalschutz
und wurde jüngst für 27 Mio € modernisiert...
