It's gotta be Tokyo after seeing a picture of a road passing THROUGH a building. Now that is some crazy shit!

(Or is the picture a fake, and by saying this I'm telling everyone what a gullible **** I am)?

So, can someone set up a new poll just for me, and answer my question by way of offering people two options...

A. Tokyo DOES have building with a road going through it.
B. Phenomenal Fullerton, you are a gullible ****.

Re the road going through building thing.

In Osaka there is a road that goes through a 20 storey skyscraper in Umeda. I think this is the building that you are thinking of.

Dubai, with the new traffic systems, dubailand, new buildings, artifical islands and implenting top technology. It will be awesome .

Otherwise, Tokyo probably (and other Jap cities), Hong Kong to and Shanghai with its maglev trains and everything.

"Dubai almost every other city has a good collection of buildings from at least the past 3 or 4 decades. It seems Dubai has nothing but new buildings done in post modern architecture. "

"Dubai has several old buildings including Dubai Museum, which is over 200 years old. It has existed for a pretty long time, but the major boom startes in the 1970's.""

Truth is Dubai is quite a new city, most of it. And thats not bad.

I remember seeing a building in HK with a road overpass going into it as well.

My picks would be:

HK -- futuristic skyline, hyperdensity, super efficiency
Shanghai -- Maglev, insane night lighting and funky buildings.
Tokyo -- futuristic skyline, clean and efficient

Shanghai, Dubai, Hong Kong and Tokyo all seem to be very futuristic from Asia
From Europe, I would say Stockholm and Frankfurt to be futuristic
From the Americas/Africa/Oceania.....can't really think of any

Brasilia was designed and built from scratch, employing the latest theory (at the time) in urban planning. They believed it was a model for the future.
