Wasn't this roundabout for pedestrians/bikes with some problems? I remember that they closed it down because it had some structural problems...

Yes, there were problems related to excessive vibration to the cables caused by the aerodynamics. They added dampers as a cure.

It was a Dutch idea, that's why there are so many in The Netherlands. Hungary has quite a lot of them too.
Koper in Slovenia is the world capital of turbo roundabouts outside Netherlands. It has 5 of them.

That's only the number of turboroundabouts. The Netherlands has over 4.300 roundabouts in the country. This is a 'nice' one. 9 roundabouts in 1,7 km.
Leeuwarden, The Netherlands:

I am very glad that road is on the other side of the country. I hope I will never have to drive there. I'm pretty sure I'd be puking after the last roundabout

If this doesn't work, then I've got no idea.

Then don't even think of driving in dual-carriageway roads of Comunitat Valenciana. They think roundabouts are the cure for cancer there.

No traffic lights outside city limits in Spain, so every at-grade intersection in a dual-carriageway road is a roundabout. Pretty crazy huh?

That road looks very annoying with all the roundabouts.

Milton Keynes is the town where someone really loves roundabouts.

We have 5 roundabouts in 350 meters! That is insanity! But one can do they straight.

Hmm, those roundabouts are kinda weird. Traffic on the main route doesn't have to slow down at all.

I have edited to point to those five roundabouts since the route I originally posted only had eight, not nine roundabouts as I thought. And yup, they are weird, one can do they straight. But switch to satellite view, we have 35 roundabouts of all kinds... except for a turboroundabout .

That last one is here
https://maps.google.nl/?ll=51.967955...06094&t=h&z=18

It's trafficlight-regulated though.

Here's another one in NL (also traffic-regulated):
https://maps.google.nl/?ll=52.001228...06094&t=h&z=18
(Road to the left has been completed)

You can check both on Streetview
