church in Paris (france)
Notre Dame de l’Arche d’Alliance

This contemporary church ended up emerging in 1997 to present to followers an original cultual image of a cube captive of its stainless steel cage. The bell-tower consists of this same dematerialization while the cube avoids metal plates covered with " I greet you Marie" outside and of wood clearly inside.

Most Victorian Churches built in Toronto in the 1800's were of Early English Gothic inspiration (especially Anglican ones) but a few Catholic Churches bucked the trend and went in for Italianate. All pics are my own.

Metropolitan United (originally Methodist):

St Michael's Cathedral (Roman Catholic) 1845:

St James Cathedral (Anglican) 1850:

an 1850's English Gothic style Necropolis:

Christ the King Cathedral (Roman Catholic) in nearby Hamilton:

Methodist Cathedral:

Our Lady of Lourdes (Catholic):

St Paul's (Anglican) the largest church in Toronto:

St Andrew's (Presbyterian) 1874:

St Stephen's-in-the-Fields (Anglican)

Church of the Holy Name (Roman Catholic)

St Paul's Basilica (Roman Catholic)

Great pictures, TB. Toronto (and the random Hamilton cathedral that you threw in) has some great churches. It's a nice showcase of what the great cities of this continent are like.

^St Mary's is very nice. Is it the one they filmed in for the wedding scene of "Muriel's Wedding" (one of my all time favourite movies!!)?

St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, Buffalo, New York USA
Designed by the same architect as Trinity Church in New York City. This is an odd shaped building on an odd shaped plot of land in downtown Buffalo.

St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Buffalo, New York USA
Restored a few years ago. It's not very ornate as far as large Catholic churches go but it's in pristine condition.

St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cathedral, Buffalo, New York USA
Not my favorite.

Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Syracuse, New York USA
This is the church I grew up in. The color on these shots is all off - the walls are actually a light aqua. It was a poor choice, but it looks better than these photos show.

Not the best photos, but these are three of the churches in the neighbourhood of West Galt in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada:

Knox Presbyterian Church, south of Queen's Square.

Central Presbyterian Church, just east of Queen's Square (thanks to a Presbyterian schism in the 1850s, we have two Presbyterian churches in sight of each other).

Trinity Anglican Church, a block north of the above churches.
