But these are simple family houses. There are much beautiful and sumptuous bigger palaces, hotels and club houses on the island. I think we turks are incapable to marketting the beauties of our country.

Defintly the best and nicest "urban island" of europe!!! Sad that I didn't visit this island during my Istanbul trip! :/ I didn't know anything about it.

I didn't know anything about the existence of this island.I'm sure many tourists don't know it.I believe the habitans don't want tourists to visit their island that's why!!

^ thats because tourists tend to think that the historic peninsula is the only worthwile place to see in Istanbul.. which sucks, since there are LOTS of places to see outside the peninsula..

I think "sucks" is the worst word to be pronounced for the imperial peninsula. Sad.
