Holy moly!

I was expecting you know maybe 1 or 2 pictures of Bay Street but wow lol awesome work.

^ The next time you see that picture in Spring/Summer of 2006 you won't see any buses or cars. Once James and Jonh Street gets completely turned into a two way street that section of Gore Park gets pedestrianized.

That #10 picture of King and MacNab Street which is the downtown bus terminal will be completely changed in I think 2006 or 2007. The city is changing the layout of there terminal to add more buses and bigger bus shelters. So that should be interesting to watch.

That Central fire station just got completed with renovations.

Picture #44 is the Trinity Landing condo. Since open house in mid July 7 units have been sold, can't move in it just yet. They just have one unit complete and that's a demo version so you can look and get a feeling of the building before buying.

I love the transformation of Bay Street so far. I believe this is the first time the city has taken a monster 5 lane one way street into a 3 lane one way street. Aren't those street lights along Bay Street wicked? I hope Bay Street becomes a role model and gets used for the future transformation of Main Street West.

I’m usually pretty tip lipped when I hear a rumour but I will say that you could potentially see a new downtown office tower in the next 3 to 4 years.

Awesome work Taha.

Took these pictures yesterday well driving to check out 61 Robinson Street. Figured I could add them here.

Stelco Tower aka 100 King Street

King Street West. You can see the new AGH sign

The Standard Life building is on the right. From what I'm hearing sometime this week or next week we should hear an announcement that Hamilton Health Sciences will be moving 1000 employees to the Standard Life building.

And because of the possible relocation of a 1000 employees to the Standard Life building, which btw is the worst-kept secret, the Baroli Cafe opened about 2 weeks ago @ the Standard Life building atrium. It's really cool they have their patios and tables next to a waterfall.

AGH

The city finally worked up some infrastructure money to repair the roads as well replace 60 year old water pipes. About a year or two it wasn’t rare to see a pipe line explode during the winter and flood parts of a neighbourhood.

Plus most of the roads in the downtown are getting a new streetscape design especially Bay Street. Before construction on Bay Street it was a 5 lane road now it’s a 3 lane road with MUCH bigger sidewalks with cool funky new street lights. I love the new street lights

That’s Bay Street

Add on top of that currently John and James Street are being converted into a two way street. That should start next month, suppose to have a two way street by next week but got delayed because of weather.

So yea driving around the downtown this year is hell lol.

Those pics you showed, Taha, make downtown Hamilton so very clean and nice.

That's a great shot of James Street. You can even see all the way down to the Harbour. Awesome. Thank god James Street is going two way.

That must have been a major pain in the ass having a train track cutting along Ferguson Street, right through downtown.

But hey now it's a public square

Good progress made there.
