Awesome fotos Carretero!!!

I noticed that there are already signs to the metro and cercanias trains.
There are 2 stations (metro and train) already build under ther terminal, right?

But when will it open? The metro is expected for 2006... at least that's the last I read about it in the spanish foruns... what about the cercanias line?

It's right, yesterday I could see both stations, built under the building.

There has been an agreement between the governments of Spain (in charge of the airport) and of the region of Madrid (in charge of the Metro) to extend Metro's Line 8 to this terminal, but I think it's expected to work in 2007-2008.

About the "cercanías" (commuter trains), some months ago it was published that a new line from the Train Station of Chamartín will be projected and built in the future:

^Ok, thank you for the information!

They will have to cover the sign or something in the meantime.

Madrid's airport is amongst the most chaotic I've ever been to. And I'm not the only one thinking this. Barajas airport is very confusing and needs remodelling!

Duh! This is a completelly new terminal!
Not yet opened yet.
Yes, the old terminals are chaotic, but the confusion will be much better in the old terminals when this new terminal opens because there will be much less planes/people/airlines operating from the old terminals.
Iberia, for example, will transfer it's activities for the new terminal, of course.

Barajas airport design is out of this world..

I like the wooden ceiling. Besides that, i don't think that it is that much "amazing"! But is a very good airport though...
