My Official Norfolk Thread. Last updated 1978.

Having just ranted about pointless threads it may seem a bit hypocritical of me to start a thread on Norfolk Development and Regeneration with just one sentence my sister sent me in an email. But hey, its a start and I promise to make it more noteworthy when i have some more time.

Anyway, anyone who holidays in Great Yarmouth might be pleased to know that Yarmouth Pleasure Beach has reached agreement with Vue Entertainment to build a GBP (I don't know what that means) 8m multiplex cinema in Great Yarmouth by 2007.

Not a clue. Like every other multiplex probably. Which will be a shame.

The pleasure beach has also had plans for a while to create a large covered area of the park, in order to increase the all year round visitor figures.

God knows why they havent built something to rival Blackpool or even some bigger and better rides, there is so much scope

Theres no where near as much space as the Blackpool pleasure beach for a start. Its a far slimmer and shorter peice of land, and theres barely the room for one rollercoaster they have there now. Theres little scope for creating a theme park in its own right - like Blackpool Pleasure Beach is.

Here it is on the right:
