this is a nice tower! Some of the stuff in Dubai doesnt really make you think WOW, even some of the real tall ones, but then there are the other amazing ones. Ive never been a great fan of stuff like burj dubai, but you have to respect that they are pretty amazing

And i think i prefer this to turning torso, even though the pics arent that great...

I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings, but it looks as if Dubai consists of towers only without anything around them...It's not very urban...

3.8m?? wow, thats office tower floors. why so high? here in Australia for many years the residential floor to floor hieght code was min 2.7m. now its creeped up to 3m. very rare above this . no need. you only need 2.4m/8ft ceilings. 2.7m/9ft are luxury.
citystyle mentioned 277m. is that height?

I love the contrast between the dense old and the new talls. I especially enjoy these:

There are few threads like this in the UAE section I think. We're trying to get some of the Dubai forumers (some who have excellent cameras ) to go to areas that aren't usually photographed and take some pictures

Nice one, even though I'm not particularly fond of the TTT (twisted tower trend)

Torso, Fordham, Valencia, Guangzhou proposals (I'm glad that they lost vs the more conservative twins)... and now this.

I think this one too looks a lot like Turning Torso in its design!
There are TTT proposed in Istanbul and u/c Kuwait too!

Hmm, I usually like turning buildings, but this doesn't really appeal to me, don't know why... But it's still cool, no doubt about that, great news for Dubai

You know what? The plot where this tower will be is the perfect spot for a centrepiece tower for the whole marina. If this tower was the height of the Istanbul one it would have been perfect for this location.
