Thanks for posting the picture, TroyBoy. BCBS will have a much more imposing presence on the skyline when the expansion is complete.
There will be enough windows and shades on the south elevation to spell out full sentence messages! ("GO CUBS BEAT CARDS")

I'm satisfied with the BCBS's final height but I'm not really about wether it would looks too bulky though.

5 more floors

I don't want to make a big deal out of this now until it can be confirmed, but someone, who probably wouldn't come out of the blue and tell us this much detail without being involved, said that an unreleased tower would be quite tall (taller than Aqua). And I don't think this is the tower south of Aqua either.

If you look hard enough, you can probably find this same info, but I don't want to release anything as he said some more in detail. I doubt he/she would tell us a lie, but you never know. Mainly I don't want to repeat what happened when Aqua was leaked here, because I know people (some in the media) actually read this forum and I don't want anyone to get in trouble either.

Any thing new and exciting going on with this building? I think they only have about 4 more floors left before the building is topped off.

Another great addition to the Chicago skyline !

the next phase of chicago's skyline

it's so wild to see it in the skyline from adler. it's going to look so great with aqua, the legacy, and of course trump. onward to density...

This is a post from a forum member on SSP. Its not confirmed info but its VERY interesting and if true, LakeshoreEast could be quite the project.

Here:

The PD that has been set and approved by the city has been pushed far beyond the building heights set-with unanimous city approval.

Expect a very serious project to appear at the culdesac end of Wacker Drive after the Aqua is sold, and a very prestigious starchitect firm backing it. And imagine the building MOMO on stilts and steroids.

But still an 80 or 90 story building at 825-950' is nothing compared to the Fordham Spire, but then again unlike the Spire these building will much more easily get built and still generate profits. The saving grace behind Aqua is the ultra-efficient and economic minimalist structure behind the skin. It can be built quickly, beautifully, and have a positive effect skyline effect.

These days in America, it is the insight of the economists that make big things possible.

Yes, that is amazing information and a great chance to have lots of starchitects design something in Chicago. Not many cities in the world will have such large concentration of 70+ story buildings. But if all that is true, then almost all the future high rise projects in LSE will be supertalls
