St. Paul's is an amazing building, one of my favourite places in London. Recent refurbishment has made it even better. Everyone should visit the place.

Great shot as well.

I think they should have reconstructed the existing dome of St.Paul's and build something more decent instead of it, e.g. a massive onion with a few dozens of smaller onions, just like in the glorious capital Moscow, I'm sure Monkey would love it.

But anyway why not to post some more pics.

^ It's definitely worth the price to see the galleries. The topmost gallery, on top of the dome (the Golden Gallery), has a better view than the London Eye (8). The gallery inside the dome is called the Whispering Gallery because of the extraordinary acoustics whereby whispering into the wall cane be heard on the other side. It's not for vertigo sufferers though....

^ It's pretty unusual to have skyscrapers in the centre of any European city. Frankfurt is an obvious exception but most of the scrapers in London, Paris, Madrid, Moscow, Istanbul etc are away from the traditional city centre. However methinks the City doesn't do too badly - and the future looks very promising indeed:

^ No they're not enclosed volumes. Correct me if I'm wrong but to my knowledge the only fully enclosed building in the whole of Italy that is larger than St Paul's is St Peter's in Rome. Meanwhile St Paul's is not even the largest cathedral in Britain and in London we have several buildings larger than either St Paul's or St Peter's. However calling St Paul's "small" when it's the third largest cathedral in Europe is somewhat trollish wouldn't you agree?

C'mon I was jocking, St. Paul's is wonderful.
St. Peter's is the largest church in the world, Westminster should be the second (it should, but I'm not sure of this anyway).
Infact if you go in St Peter's, inside, on the floor there are the "limit lines" and they show you where the facade of the other churches arrive.

Westminster Abbey is the second largest in London - after St Paul's. I think Liverpool is the second largest in Europe. There is an enormous new cathedral at Yamasoukro in Ivory Coast that may be larger than St Peter's too.

No! St. Paul's is the second largest in Europe ( and of the world too), look above.^
Liverpool Cathedral is not in the list.
