It's right on the outskirts of downtown Montreal. It's about 200km away from Ottawa.

This would be great for Montreal!

The hotel/casino part of the complex looks like a crystal, I love it.

Very simple. The roads around the site can't handle all the traffic involved with shows involving 10,000 spectators. The streets will be widened but to encourage people to keep their cars at off-site parking lots, the monorail will be set up.

Also, the Montreal subway system could be extended to the area but that would cost hundres of millions of dollars.

Do you know if it's will be the same lane for the South Shore Project (Champlain Bridge estacade-Brossard)

Who's the architect?

Personally, I can't ever see that South Shore project coming to fruition. If it does, I'd say that the Cirque project has a good chance of being hooked up to it because of it's proximity to the Peel Basin.

The project is just to the west of the Old Port. It's well within walking distance of the western portion of the Old Port.

As for the Architect, I have no idea. I know it was mentioned somewhere on the website but I can't find it now....

I like the look of this project -- however the current casino has a place in my heart -- it's comprised of the French and Quebec pavilions from Expo67 -- Drapeau park is so beautiful as well -- Fuller's geodesic dome -- views of the city -- alas!
