Slick shots Carlito

Gee, for 50 stories and being 471ft, the floor to celing heights can't be that great. Also the actual floorplates look relatively slender, wafer-thin.

There must be the possiblity of a building to edge right up against it or near to it, hence the full-height blank wall. Wonder if anything has been approved as yet.

this is your typical midtown "cookie-cutter" residential skyscraper....I think the penthouses are the only condos worth buying here...they have double hgt ceilings....with fireplaces!!

Do you ever take a bad pic Carlito?

Nice slender perspective and we can see that they're adding the framework for the rooftop curved architectural feature (see renders on page 1 of this thread).

BTW Often towers have blank walls painted even if they will have a tower built adjacent to them in the future.

Not meaning to Sydney-fy the thread but it's relevant @ this point. Norman Foster's Fraser Suites @ Regent Place in Sydney has also had a blank wall painted as sometime in the future, a 152m/500ft tower is more than likely to go up against it. Blank walls are painted as such, so as not to leave them bare in the meantime...

Exhibit A lol, Fraser Suites, courtesy of CULWULLA - Pic taken end of Feb, 2006:

Carlos, have you ever considered a run for mayor?

I'm sure the Twin Towers would be rebuilt if we had Carlos for mayor.

I like your attitude Carlos!

Actually, I'd love to see a real New Yorker run the city.

Nothing against Bloomberg - he's doing a good job, but the problem we are having is that Bloomberg seems to have a strong desire to develop the West Side while the effort for the World Trade Center is still on hold.

If Bloomberg can win two terms, settle the labor dispute with the TWA/MTA and manage a huge city (being that he's not originally from NY), then why can't he manage the rebuilding efforts?

We need a strong leader who loves New York.

We need Carlos for Mayor!!

Ah...because he has no legal authority at the site. The land at Ground Zero is owned by the Port Authority and the buildings leased to Silverstein. The city of New York and the Mayor have NO say in the matter.

Donald Trump has said (in one of his books I've read) that he was offered the opportunity, but I can't seem to remember the reason he decided against it.

He is very proud of his Billionaire friend, Michael Bloomberg for accepting the challenge.

Hmmmm, it seems like units are going to have low ceilings in this building.

Cheers,
