I didn't know brick was ugly. Most of those buildings are from the early 1900's. This tower, if anything, is the ugly thing.

Has nothing really to do with a time period.
Red brick is just not a very popular building material in most places outside of a few American and European cities.
In this country, you'll see lots of them in NY and Boston but not Los Angeles or Miami, for instance.
You might see them in London but not too much in Paris or Rome. Strange how some places favor them, while others shun them.

Why does it look like that is it because the glass wasnt put up or is it because all the ugly brown buildings around it just make it look fake.
