Petronas are still called "iconic symbols of Malaysia"

anyhow, I would choose Petronas over wtc by a mile. WTC does have more history though.

My vote goes to Petronas Twin Towers. ( I live facing them). They give me inspiration.

However, World Trade Centre has more historical, political and economical status in an international point of view.

My solemn condolences to victims of the 9/11 tragedy.

There's nothing particularly great about the architecture of the WTC. But, for whatever reason, I've always been drawn to those buildings. I love the way they looked from different vantage points in New York. I miss them very much.

I voted Petronas but really it should be a tie. I love the beauty of Petronas but I also love the corporate power and simplicity of WTC. Both are a hit.

WTC was built in 1976. Twenty years later they cannot come up with anything substantially higher: the Petronas Towers cheated with those spires really badly.

WTC .....it very well represents the 'power'' of the city .......Petronas is very nice, with all the nagular architecture involved but still WTC rocks !

Petronas Towers didnt cheat !!

Actually , Petronas towers were never meant to be the world's tallest , those spires were added because the designer thought it would look nicer and more proportioned to the entire structure . if they really wanted to surpass WTC , why would they designed it with ony 88 stories ? , knowingly WTC has 110 stories ? and theres a different between spires and attenas . attena' height doesnt count . But spires actually count !!
