Im not 100 percent sure, but I would say it should be at the same location of the old station? or atleast near to it as all the railtracks are there.
speaking of the railtracks, there are plans to put them underground so the resulting space could be used for city development projects.

But I cant find more renderings.I have been searching but I didnt find any more pics.

^ Interesting. This however, is starting to sound like the fabled and "never to be seen" Frankfurt 21 project, where the train lines were also meant to be moved underground and the terminus becoming a through-station. The theory being that the marshelling yards can be sold off to realestate. It has been a dream for a long time, but I can't see it ever happening in my lifetime.

Stuttgart also has a "21" project. It seems more real because there is a major exhibit at the current train station showing how it would look when finished. But in reality, just another pipe dream I fear.

yes I know of both the projects in Stuttgart and Frankfurt.
whilst I think that it will probably never happen in Frankfurt and maybe even munich,I could very well imagine that it could become reality in Stuttgart.(even though it will take ages)
stuttgart is in need of office spaces (as far as I know).
Frankfurt and Munich arent,so that could be a reason why it will probably not be realised very soon.

Btw: heres the link to the thread in the german DAF-forum:
http://deutsches-architektur-forum.d...ead.php?t=2109
its all in german but maybe you get some more information there.

^ yes, they have started some of the surrounding projects in Stuttgart. The train station project is amazing. Just wish they would start that as well.

This project is only about replacing the front building with the main entrance. The train hall itself with the platforms and railway tracks will stay more or less like it is (as far as I am informed).

There is a project called "München 21" which involves moving the tracks to the underground but I doubt it will be realized in near future, if at all.

^ That's a pity as the train shed in Munich is nothing special and quite unattractive. Looks a bit like the roof over a factory floor.

Both are nice. Probably the city council reckons that the 1st proposal is too high and too big for the area it will be constructed in.
