Solo teneis que pulsar aqui y luego en la parte izquierda en el numero de enero de 2005.
Despues en el apartado de ferrocarriles lo encontrareis.

Hitachi wins Channel Tunnel Rail Link Contract


Hitachi announces that it has been selected as preferred supplier to deliver around 30 high-speed "A-trains" to operate domestic services on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) and local lines in Kent as part of the new Integrated Kent Franchise. Each train will consist of 6 coaches and will have the ability to rapidly couple to operate as 12 coach trains. Hitachi will also maintain the new trains, initially for the duration of the new Integrated Kent Franchise.

Hitachi's high-speed "A-train" combines technical innovation with safety, comfort and reliability. With the ability to travel on local lines in Kent combined with the ability to travel at 140 mph on the new CTRL line, Hitachi's High-Speed "A-Train" will dramatically cut journey times into London. The Trains will be configured as a high speed commuter service with comfortable seating, CCTV, Passenger Information Systems and fully compliant with disability regulations.

The "A-train" provides many advantages including a much quieter interior, improved rigidity and a safer crashworthy structure. In addition, the modular concept approach has enabled easier refurbishment and better residual value. It is also superior to conventional trains in terms of recyclability due to the use of aluminium and its module-to-mounting rail structure which can be easily dismantled.

By greatly reducing the number of components in the carbody structure and eliminating most of the adjustment processes in the interior panel fitting, the "A-train" is effective in reducing life-cycle cost and environmental damage.


Alistair Dormer, business development director at Hitachi Europe Ltd, said:

lo de las pantallitas lcd con la visión de una cámara en el frontal del tren y la velocidad está muy chulo. Lo que menos me gusta es el diseño exterior de los trenes...:s

Facil es mejor hacer un aeropuerto donde ni de coña un avion pueda caerse sobre viviendas en caso de accidente y sin tener q preocuparte de que en el futuro te lo rodeen de rascacielos.

¿Y cuántos años de "vida" le dan a esa maravilla de isla?
Espero que hayan conseguido mantener alejados a los constructores corruptos esta vez y no les pase como en Kansai.

me gustaron mucho los trenes, sobre todo el que es rojo, negro y metal muy moelno

lo de la isla es muy practico , se cae un avion y no hay que andar juntando pedazos

En Nagoya son más serios y sobrios que en Osaka, no creo que les pase lo mismo Además en este caso la profundidad del mar es bastante menor.

El interior de la estación tampoco es para tirar cohetes, los trenes una pasada por dentro, por fuera (menos el frontal) tambien!

Por otra parte construir islas en medio del mar es una solución muy cara para mi gusto y no me da ningun tipo de envidia. Lo que me gusta mas de Japon son esos trenes y esas frecuencias tan preciosas que tienen.
