cool pics. magestom, I think your chinese signature might have some problem, this is what I attempt to correct"我说印度斯坦语,我是美国人,我16岁" means "I speak Hindustani, I am American, I am 16 years old".

I suppose when you say "印第安语", you are talking about the most dominant language in India, and that should be "印度斯坦语", "印第安语" means the languages of Native Americans.

I think he's using some auto-translation tool like google. I assume he wants to say "I'm an Indian, and I'm also an American, I'm 16 years old". But unfortunately, his Chinese signature means "I'm Native American language, I'm American, I'm 16 years old". The correct translation should be "我是印度人,我也是美国人,我16岁"

North America is a failure from the functionability point of view

the cities are huge sprawls with little sense of urbanism (except NYC and SF), most American and Canadian cities are gigantic sprawls with nothing but a dense downtown and a giant sprawl of houses on little islands surrounded with highways.

In most cities in both the US and Canada you can't go anywhere without a car.

Indeed India should focus on Europe as their public transport model.

Yes, concentrate on the European/British model.
As long as you don't finish up like Russia. The so-called second most powerful nation on Earth....with no highway system outside of the cities.

Initially it was a 'political' hang-up. Now it's a 'gangster' thing...

If you think the American highway model is a failure, you're looking at it the wrong way, which is a whole other debate. The Highway infrastructure itself was built for a purpose and has been highly successful. What happened in the suburban sprawl sense of the matter is a different issue that came about for different reasons. If there is any lesson in the U.S. model, its to keep insurance, banking, oil and big car companies away from influencing the road building entities. The highway system itself was more for goods transport and trade. That continues to work well. The freeway system(expanding the size and adding many exit ramps in the larger municipalities) is more of a result of big oil, banks and big auto getting together with builders and congress to make each other a lot of money.
