Yeah I live in California, we have some of the best highways in the world.

Like I said India will catch up in 2010. We started expanding in 2004...

Just wait and watch. Why be so pessmistic, give India a chance.

I have question here,when you metion highway,what's the exact meaning of it?I found some india people use highway and freeway individually,in china highway means no people on it,no traffice lights just some entrances and exits,just like the same way at the states.I don't know what's the difference between them two for our india friends.

nah but my parents did, they liked it more than Mumbai, but one thing we all agreed to was that the infrastructure, if you dont look at the roads and stuff, was the best in Gurgaon..dont know if you have been there

India is on par with average American Highways.
woah buddy, that second pic is not an average american highway, most of the highways up here on eastcoast atleast are 3 laned, its like comparing the not so good from the west to the best of India and saying...there u go...india's with them

i said this is good for india. china can offord an aircraft carrier, but we think economy first, and never have one, altough we have taiwan problem.

This is the average american Highway. The Eastcoast is only 13 states. I'm averaging the best and the worst and this is what you get for the USA.

i never said it was going to leave the USA in the dust. But heavy emphasis is being put on infrastructure. The outer ring road coming around hyderabad is 166 KM. The biggest ring road in the USA is 80km...

It is 8 lanes, parallel metro line, and 2 service roads. This is what gives me my confidence. 40% complete, expected opening is 2008.

Hopefully never. That kind of highway system (coupled with other factors) crippled America's railways and encouraged sprawling autocentric suburbs, which India does not have space for.
