If they can build apartments they can build roads. Widen it, and build the apartments higher to make up for the space that was taken off them to build the road.

an underground tunnel for cars? how abot a huge highway in the middle of it all* 20 lanes

Not quite, but it might brighten up my day a bit. At Urbis I have three important tasks: 1) standing around; 2) sitting on my arse; 3) getting horrendously abused by members of the public who seem to think that just because the pay taxes they have the right to constantly and incessantly remind me that, while Urbis is a beautiful building, it’s full of utterly banal exhibitions, is the millennium dome of the North, and is a disgrace to the city.

Apart from this, duties include desperately trying to convince tourists that if they’ve only got a day in Manchester they really don't want to be in Urbis and should make a dash for the Art Gallery or the Science and Industry Museum, or perhaps a trip to the War Museum or maybe even the Lowry.

OOOO, and almost forgot. I have to put buckets out when it rains because the roof leaks. And, wait for it, ok.. get this…, I have to take helium balloons off small children.

^ it's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it....I should imagine the most dangerous part is trying to seperate some brat from his balloon....

/\ that was taken from a grass verge by west one, if any one with a decent zoom is in the area, i'd reccomend taking pics from there. You can see town, the quays and pendleton.

There is a large boring machine, and a crane. A good few workman. Not in the construction game, so don't what is going on exactly, sorry, but to the untrained eye it looks as though they are preparing the site. There's loads of boarding around, with renders of the building. It looks like the NV area before the towers/core started to go up. I remember there being nothing for a while, but workmen and a flat field, then all of a sudden, shafts.

Looks like there's a bar/restaurant on Erie too.
