These were extremely common in the East Bay (Oakland/Berkeley) up until the last year or so, but seem to have all disappeared. They were mainly used in areas with lots of steep, winding streets where normal sized buses would have trouble maneuvering.

The only true "minibuses" that Portland operates are for people with disabilities or the elderly, and are for home pickups.

TriMet does operate a few 30ft diesel buses for use on some of the low-ridership routes. They're not common at all though.

Riga, Latvia
Midibus Ikarus E91 ... some in Riga are with Air Condition (only ones in Riga)
Used by the goverments transport company "Rīgas Satiksme" (Trolleybuses, Trams, Buses and in the future also trains and ships/ferrys)
Ikarus E91 on line 40E near central market

Ikarus E91 on line 5 at the end near Gaiļezera hospital

Also Riga has 8 private companies who have mini buses (238 all over the city) and they have 38 lines (all lines are 2xx). The lines owned by a company are distrubet according to the direction they go. For example line 200 goes to Vecmilgravs (NE of city) is opperated by "DMK" but line 207 which goes to Jugla (E of city) is opperated by "KORT" (I gues you got the point )
Trolleybuses and a mini bus in Me˛ciems

At the end of few mini bus lines in Me˛ciems

Greater Vancouver has a community shuttle that operate in smaller suburban communities like White Rock and Langely.
