Does Schiphol track how much of its traffic has the Netherlands as its origin or destination?

Both AMS and DXB have doubled their passenger numbers in 10 years which is amazing. I wonder if these airlines will be flying double their current numbers by 2027?

Also, just looking at the bold airports, MAN (and BHX and GLA) are such wasted opportunities by BA. It's sad that they are so happy to hand over this traffic to EK/KLM/LH/EY/QR and only focus on London. Maybe once LHR get's it's third runway, BA will focus on connecting more traffic through LHR from the rest of the UK.

Another interesting thing to note is that MAN is probably one of the few airports in the world where all the ME3 fly to and EY (and not QR) is in second place. SYD and MEL are the only airports which I'm aware of where this is also the case.

EDIT: ORD is another one where EY is #1, QR is #2 and EK is third place!

Dublin is another one I think, EK and EY first and second, with QR third

Speaking of which, November figures just released and showing traffic up 7% which is in line with the rest of the year. UK traffic still really struggling because of Brexit but Trans-Atlantic up 23%, Middle East & Africa up 17% and transfers up 36%. Should be just under 30 million for the year

Spanish statistics datas of November have been published for all the AENA airports (this means all the important spanish airports and most of the non importants):

http://www.aena.es/csee/ccurl/338/2/...embre_2017.pdf

As always, first page is monthly data, and second page is 2017 data (Jan-Nov). On each page, first column shows pax, second column shows operations and third column shows goods carried.

This time, most big airports (over 2M pax) had increased over 10%, with Sevilla (SVQ) leading with a +29.2%.

ADOLFO SUÁREZ MADRID-BARAJAS (MAD) 4.191.121 +6,2%
BARCELONA-EL PRAT (BCN) 3.195.515 +5,0%

The winter season started and some airports had incredible (but expected) growths. SVQ for example (the one that I know better) had a high increase in the number of destinations due to mostly Ryanair new routes, this company will open some installations in SVQ and is interested on having an increasing presence on it.
BTW, for the first time in history, SVQ beated 5M passenger in a 12-month period (5,005,395).

All the airports with more than 2M passengers per year are breaking records in the 12-month period, except MAD, which probably will beat its old record from 2008 in the next month.

Big upheaval among French airports. Toulouse airport has for the first time passed Marseille airport and is now the 3rd busiest airport in France outside Paris!!

In the 10 months from January to October 2017, Toulouse airport recorded 7,804,984 passengers (+16.1% compared to 2016) whereas Marseille airport recorded only 7,722,405 (+6.5% compared to 2016). In November and December 2016, Toulouse airport recorded 1,360,457 passengers and Marseille airport only 1,224,936 so it's game over, Toulouse is now a busier airport than Marseille!

It's a pretty impressive feat considering that Toulouse is not as populated as Marseille. It confirms other metrics about the two cities: whether in terms of GDP, number of jobs, or even total population, Toulouse is fast catching up with Marseille. As of 2017, it has passed Marseille in terms of air traffic. Next, within the next 10 years, it should probably pass Marseille in terms of total number of jobs. If things continue as they've been for the past 40 years, Toulouse should also pass Marseille in total population within 30 years and become the largest and most important city in Southern France. It's an impressive change in the fortune of the two cities, considering how 60 years ago Toulouse was a tiny backwater compared to the big and busy port city of Marseille.

In November 2017, passenger traffic at Toulouse airport kept growing at a high rate (+9.0% compared to November 2016), and it should reach about 9.3 million passengers for the entire 2017. The airport's new Chinese owners are planning to bring passenger numbers up to 12 million by 2023 (they plan to open intercontinental air routes from Toulouse and use Toulouse airport as a Chinese hub in Southern Europe).
