Good for Madrid, now it's the 4th largest airport in Europe.

Now, in the case of some cities we should bear in mind that they're served by more than just one airport.

So, having said that, we should consider the following cities/airspaces as the most congested in the world.

1. London 135 millions
2. New York City 108 millions
3. Tokyo 101 millions

Traffic figures for the third Parisian aiport (Beauvais Tillé Airport) haven't been released yet, but if they are like last year then Paris had about 88 million passengers in 2007 when combining all its airports.

Thank you It just doesn't make sense to me to post something thats not relevant to the thread title which is 100 Worlds busiest airports. Not 100 busiest airports in Europe. I believe there are 6 other continents.

You can consider that there are 2 americas.
The 7th one is Antartica...but Middle East and Decan can be seen as a sub-continents.

Ok, I thought that there were only 6 continents in the civil aviation : Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle-East, North-America and South-America. I didn't know that Antartica is used. Thank you for your lights.
Excuse me to have deviated from the discussion.

Of course Antarctica has aviation traffic. Just not public.
