What is the symbol for Liberty in your Country

For instance in the U.S. it's the Liberty Bell....

http://www.libertybellmuseum.com/

Every year the U.S. celebrates the Liberty Bell through the 4 of July festivities.....

I think the Statue of Liberty is a much better choice than the Bell.

the statue of Liberty is what every immigrant saw upon entering the U.S.--where he or she would be free to live a new life. The Bell is up on the list...but the SoL is so imposing and well known.

Wow Like Dude, I never knew that..... I thought that the U.S. has been around a little longer than the early 20th century when that boom took place but everyone has a right to their opinion. This poll and every state in the U.S. has declared the Liberty Bell..

most of the U.S. population came from that influx of immigrants. Ask anyone which is more symbolic..and I bet they would say the tall lady.

In Canada, the whole country is a symbol of liberty. TRUE liberty, unlike our neighbours south of the border.

Gladly, but when I cut the tree I won't be able to sell it anywhere because the US government beaks its own laws by breaking an international treaty it signed with Canada, whereby no trade barriers would exist between the countries (NAFTA). The Americans still impose such barriers on Canadian soft-wood lumber.

For me Germany's symbol of Liberty is the Brandenburg Gate, but only since the fall of the wall.
