Just great. Congratulations to every Beijingren on building such a top-class metro line. Looking forward to visiting it.

The same map as the one posted by xizhimen 2 pages back. You can read the station names on this bigger one.

It's not the metro's size that counts, it's how well it satisfies the transit needs of the area. If the lines coverage is inadequate - perhaps it is underbuilt - then it may be that an extension is in order. But generally, with proper planning, even a moderately sized tunnel boring machine can drill through enough distance to get traffic flowing and ease congestion where it's needed.

Looks a little cheaper than I expected, especially with the floor tiles, but still very functional .

Cool stations. What are those black metal panels on the floors waiting to be installed?

Line 4 was opened in 2009, yet the styling looks like it was made in 1979. Are all new stations going to be of this design?

Does not look that much old-style to me, au contraire. If I had to pick at it, I'd say different coloring could not be enough to distinguish one station from another, so maybe at times one will feel the need to check where he is... That's my understanding of it at least.

Yikes, Line 4 looks practically identical to some of Hong Kong's metro stations.

What!!! This is modern as hell. Say what you want about the convenience of the Beijing Subway, but I would love it if the Shanghai subway had some semblance of decoration. Every station looks beautiful. This is even better than line 10. They probably make the subway look so nice because the average ride will take an hour.

Thats because MTR is designing the stations.

Wow Beijing Subway Line 4 strongly resembles NYC subway's R143 and R160 train cars in terms of interior seating and color scheme as well as exterior design:

Pretty interesting
