Why all that cities dont belong in the list . Then Rotterdam doesnt have to be in the list, I dont think it is an impressive skyline even with the new additions so...and Rotterdam also lacks architecture, only could be mentioned the Gebouw Delftse Poot 1 as a good one...

Lol, well each his own opinion, but to say that Rotterdam lacks architecture...

Rotterdam is internationally known for its modern architecture. That you don't like it is your own right.

If I were a first-time tourist in Istanbul, I wouldn't dedicate a single second for "skyscrapers" when I can see the remnants of Roman palaces, hippodrome, aqueducts, cisterns, monumental columns, city walls; Byzantine palaces, churches, castles, cisterns, aqueducts, towers; Ottoman palaces, mosques, castles, aqueducts, towers; the treasures of Topkapi Palace, the floor mosaics of Constantine's Palace, the interior of Haghia Sophia, the interior of the Blue Mosque, shopping inside the Grand Bazaar, a boat tour among the Ottoman mansions and palaces of the Bosphorus, a boat tour among the Ottoman mansions of the Prince Islands, the pubs and restaurants of Pera, the clubs and fashion houses of Nisantasi, etc...

Skyscrapers?

Who cares...

I think the 'my city will look like this in 2309'-posts are not very useful.

LOL

Importing skyscrapers from other countries? Like Malmo Turning Torso as in the pics?
Future is in mobile skyscrapers

La Defense do not need these tricks to have beautyful skyline

Frankfurt, Istanbul, Paris - but choice was difficult.
Rotterdam, Warsaw, London - there are stunning as well.
Moscow i s growing very fast - but we have to wait several years when Moscow City will be completed.

Lets not forget London now has 31 - 500+ footers planned with 12 over 200m and 2 supertalls.

all by 2006. Paris has just given themselves a few more towers till 2015. by then I expect London to have planned at least another 5 supertalls plus another 30 odd 150m+ towers.

For me only London and Moscow can compete in the long run.

and has planned

2 x 175m
2 x 125m
2x 120m

Oh please, let's not start a debate about the future in this thread, that's not the point I think... today's skylines are good enough to be discussed anyway.
Paris+Ld for exemple has 14 uc or built 150m+ buildings and Eiffel, which is an incredible plus, imo

That last CW is nice btw.

Europe is planing Istanbul and Moscow are building. It's really like that. We see many topics opened by different forumers that show many nice tall skyscrapers but somehow the construction never begins. While all this happens Istanbul and Moscow are building and building without any annunciation.
