The whole sandy area is the new waterfront area to be developed. Its a huge area, and its under the DHA (Defence Housing Authority) jurisdiction. DHA is not related to defence, but its just called 'defence housing'.

The City Gov. of Karachi unveiled a plan to build up the whole sandy area into a world class waterfront area. So, now we're seeing a lot of nice projects coming up in the DHA waterfront. I say 'DHA waterfront' because Karachi has two waterfront areas,

1) Clifton Beach
2) DHA Waterfront

The projects are initiated by the DHA, or at times DHA teams up with foreign and domestic partners to execute such projects.

There's an island near the DHA, and the Gov. has approved plans to build up the Island into a 5-star resort and link it to mainland Karachi via a suspension bridge. So, the area around the DHA waterfront would be pretty hip in the coming years.

Here's a map of the DHA area. If you notice a grid pattern is starting to emerge, and its a 7 year project to develop the whole area into a world class waterfront.

It's being managed/run by the army therefore it is related.

Yeah, there will be more floors added. Creek Towers (38 storey's) would be launched soon, and they would be constructed infront of Creek Vistas.

It is a very nice looking project. It's good that they are putting a lot of greenery into the projects so there won't be a lot of concrete.

From what the pictures show, can I say that this is being built in the middle of the desert?
the renders look good, nice bunch of towers and some really great landscaping!

these are by no means middle class apartments, they cant afford 2 bedroom apartments for 60 lack (around $75,000), these are aimed at the upperclass, most of them have been given to retired army generals
