The Gas Company Tower in LA. It served as the opening elevator action sequence in Speed. and as the climax of Virtuosity with Denzel and Russel Crowe

The inside of the Bradbury Building in Bladerunner.

Plus of course opening(one of the best skyline shots ever IMHO) with the fictional Tyrell buildings..

This is a screenshot of the view from Mary's Miami townhouse in There's Something About Mary. I've had a look through Miami's skyscrapers but can't seem to find it. Of course it may not actually be in Miami. Anyone know what is is.

My best bet would be ( if not in Miami or Miami beach ) somewhere either in Ft Lauderdale or near clearwater beach...

Stunning Istanbul panaroma in the beginning of the fragman, yet a bad picture quality, sorry.

Was watching Red Eye the other day, which features a skyscraper - Continuum, South Tower at Miami Beach plays the part of the Lux Atlantic Hotel, and ends up coping a missile launched from a fishing boat to one of the top floors towards the end of the movie.

I was watching Click with Adam Sandler (made 2006) the other day and was suprised to see what looked like Freedom Tower in the skyline of a scene set in the future, except there were two of them. I thought it might have been a coincidence, but its listed as trivia on IMBD. Anyway I thought that was pretty neat. Heres a screencap I grabbed of it:

+1 , I love that Larry Cohen movie.

Push was shot in Hong Kong and skyscrapers are very important in the movie.

How about the scene from the latest batman where he stands on top of 2IFC in Hong Kong.

And dont forget the twisted skyscraper from oceans 13.

Toronto's Metro Hall was shown in X-Men, while the TD Centre was unmistakably Bateman's office in American Psycho:

^ That's cool, I didn't know that was filmed in Toronto.

Shinjuku Park Tower appeared in Lost in Translation. My friend works across the street and we checked out one of the Park Hyatt restaurants last year. Ridiculously nice hotel, but a bit out of my price range

In the latter days of the traditional hand-drawn cartoons, Daffy Duck experiences a rescue by Speedy Gonzales in his sleepwalking on the girders of a NY high-rise. ("Skyscraper Caper", animation director Alex Lovy, 1968).

Methinks Pluto, the Walt Disney creation some years earlier, had a similar escapade.

The building at the end of the movie is fictional though (center-left).
