Phoenix Rocks!
None of these pictures really capture what downtown Phoenix looks like.
Furthermore, until you've driven the ridge coming down Lincoln to the West, at sunset, you haven't seen how beautiful that skyline is. 2B |

Being from the deserts of southern California, I love desert cities and environments. However, the skyline could be better for a city the size of Phoenix, still, not too terrible. |

Phoenix is a big disappointment. For an American city of 1 million + people it does not have any great skyscrapers. 4/10. Cities such as Des Moines and Charlotte are better yet smalller.

Average, but looks very suburban judging by the pictures (even for an American city).

say what you want about it looking better from "some vantage point," but this skyline sucks! For as large as this metro is and for how fast it is growing, there should cranes all over the place and towers similar in height to Seattle...major disappointment!
The downtown is also too linear. There is really no "core" to speak of, just 2 intersecting streets lined with "high" rises. There needs to be some sort of monorail constructed down the two to promote higher density and walkability. Otherwise, the downtown is going to sprawl like the rest of the metro! |

Obviously you have never been on ASU campus. I don't understand the hatred people here have for my hometown. Granted I will be the first to admit that our skyline sucks but there is more to a city than just it's skyline. |

...nothing to write home about, unless you're writing to mention what a lackluster skyline Phoenix has~
A city of this size has such a small skyline?
