How close is this building to being topped out?

Given the prevailing rate of construction, I'd say about 4-5 weeks.

This one totally flew by my radar when it was started. I always stare out the brown line and have been watching the 4-5 buildings going up in that area. I noticed this one getting a little taller awhile back, but wow, what a surprise. I really love this building a lot, it's just keeping going and going and going. The placement of it out in the open like that makes it come off REALLY tall from the train.

Love this shot, really shows you what Chicagago is talkin' bout stickin' out like a sore thumb. My last count was 1-2 more floors to go. (I can't believe me grammar tonight)

And besides what a stunner it is becoming, the project includes a substantial improvement to the riverwalk nearby and surrounding the East Bank Club.

I agree. And the planned riverwalk is supposed to be awesome as well. This building is really surprising everybody. It is a pleasant change when a structure turns out much better than anticipated since the opposite is typically true.

I dont agree,
there shouldnt be highrise only zones,
if we didnt have these strict zones and such thinking as this
then the nice building at the dana hotel site wouldnt have been razed,
buildings would be looked at for value, merit and quality of construction,
and wouldnt be knocked down just because the zoning says you can make more money with the building razed.
and highrises could go anywhere and a crappy frame house could be demolished instead of a turn of the century brick jewel being knocked down, (within reason, but i would like to see a highrise in a suburban subdivision someday)

a mix of heights and different types of buildings is more interesting
than samey stuff all in one area,
im sure other highrises will go up in the area, since the precedent has been set, (nimbies fear is realized!)

^Great photos.

Here are some larger renderings of those I posted a while back.

^Looks like there will be a nice water feature next to the entrance.

Thanks for the complement and thanks for all of the renderings you have been posting. That little park on top of what looks to be a parking podium looks nice too. Those renderings really make me miss summer.
