Another Gothia hotel tower, Göteborg

Hotel Gothia has announced plans for a third Gothia hotel tower in Göteborg. It would make the hotel complex the largest hotel in europe in terms of rooms (exkluding russia). With 1200 rooms.

The reason is to be able to compete out Stockholm so that major trade fairs keeop taking place in the exhibition hall in Göteborg. The rooms currently available are simply not enough.

When completed the complex will look like this:

Is this the best choice, or would it be better to make one of the existing building taller instead, if possible?

it looks nice but you're right, all of them have the same height, which is a little disturbing
personally i find it better when one tower in a complex is taller than the other

simply put the right one on top of the central one and that's it

Great news, finally it is time for Göteborg too to get more highrises!
But actually they don't have the same height today. East Tower is 58m and West Tower, that was added 7 years later, is 72m.

But I prefer 2 taller twins thatn 3 midsized ones.

I have just read that the East Tower will add 5 floors and be renamed Crown Tower!
And 86% voted yes for the new project in Göteborgsposten!!!

"They should build those tower on top of each other."

Less logistics required to build separete lower ones. Anyhow, two of them already exist so it would be impossibly to.

But maybe they could add 30 floors to one of them instead of building one more. But maybe that's not possibly either...

For you who don't know the towers are right in maybe the most modern area in Sweden. With the amusement park "Liseberg"'s main entrance in front of the towers. There are alsoo a cultural museum and a natural scienctific museum (if you can call it that, it's not only a museum but it also got acitivities, aquarium etc).

I hope they build more scrapers there with a nice facade. Like the Mölndal tower (117m), i would like to see getting built there instead of in Mölndal south of this spot.
If Göteborg is to build itself a proper skyline, korsvägen (the spot in question) is the place to start for sure.

Not bad but... why 3 towers when there could be 1 tower three times taller?
